Michael Peyton, the former Harley-Davidson exec BMW brought in to run motorcycle operations in the Americas in July 2016, has moved over to run MINI. Replacing him as Vice President of BMW Motorrad Americas is Trudy Hardy. The changes take effect on 1 July 2019.

Hardy has been with BMW since 2001, when she came on board to help roll out the MINI brand in the US. She has been working in marketing and after-sales capacities since then, rising to the position of VP of Marketing in 2013.

The VP Motorrad of the Americas position covers motorcycle operations in the US, Canada and Mexico, as well as Brazil (where BMW has a motorcycle production plant) and Argentina, plus direct market operations in all of Latin America.

The press release from BMW calls Hardy "an avid motorcycle rider." No word at this time what this change in leadership means for BMW Motorrad's Canadian structure.
