BMW Motorrad first showed off the Roland Sands-built Concept 101 way back in May 2015. "Oh, they'll never build a production version of that," nearly everybody said.

Then in October 2016, BMW held an event in Los Angeles to celebrate their 100th anniversary. At that event, BMW Motorrad snatched the cover off the K 1600 B - B for Bagger, the bike that took the Concept 101 and made it real.

Sightings of the Bagger have been few and far between since then, but the American public will soon have its chance to see the K16B up close. BMW Motorrad will debut the bike to the US public at the Cleveland, Ohio iteration of the Progressive International Motorcycle Show, starting on Friday, 27 January 2017.

BMW Motorrad said in a press release that BMW representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the motorcycle, which was developed "specifically with American riders and American roads in mind."
