Save the dates! May 16-18, 2025
This is a new event on the Getaway schedule for 2025. As with all MOA Getaways, all brands and riders are welcome and MOA membership is not a requirement. Bring your riding friends and experience some of the best motorcycle riding in the country. The
May date should ensure some great weather, and the area’s roads offer incredible riding opportunities for both street and adventure motorcyclists.
Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is nestled in the heart of Kentucky’s Appalachian Mountain region. It offers an ideal destination for those seeking to get away from it all. The resort provides lodge rooms, cottages, RV slots, tent camping, and a restaurant
and banquet hall to help our guests enjoy their weekend to its fullest.
When guests arrive they will be impressed with the park’s great amenities. Sign-in for the event will be at the Chafin Lodge overlooking the roaring Russell Fork River. The lodge will be the center of everything for the event weekend, starting with a
Welcome Reception featuring a full-service cash bar and casual dinner on Friday. On Saturday there will be an Awards Banquet, again catered by the incredible park staff.
After unwinding and enjoying a peaceful night of rest and filling breakfast Saturday morning, riders can select from multiple street and adventure for their enjoyment. Famous points of interest are organized into entertaining routes encompassing some
of the best motorcycle roads in the area, such as Fort Boonesboro, Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. There are many more area roads just as fun and enjoyable.
The $149 event fee includes a Friday night welcome party and dinner with cash bar, Saturday night dinner and awards with cash bar, thousands of dollars worth of door prizes and a special MOA gift. The Getaway event fee does not include lodging. Please
call the venue directly (see LODGING), and visit the venue's website for reservations and cancellation policies.
Event fees are refundable if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will receive a voucher for a future MOA event. Please visit bmwmoa.org/refunds for a list of covered events and circumstances that qualify for an event credit.
The Park’s lodging offerings for event guests include everything from traditional rooms at the lodge, two- and three-bedroom modern cottages, RV slots and tent camping.
The wonderful Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park will be the base of operations for the event. Lodging options are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The entire venue has been blocked out for our event guests, but will sell out fast so make plans
early.
Depending on where you want to stay for this Getaway, you need to call one of two numbers to make your reservation:
- CAMPGROUND reservations require you to call the park at (606) 568-3869. The campground offers both RV and tent camping spots. There is water, electrical service and a bathhouse. If you get voice mail, please leave a message
and someone will return your call.
- LODGE ROOM OR CABIN reservations require you to call the park at (606) 398-7510 and provide them with the event password, which is Rides4Fun’s BMW MOA event for May 16-18, 2025 to book a room.
If you visit the venue's website, the property will show sold out for the weekend, so please remember YOU MUST CALL the correct number provided above. The same is true for RV slots and tent camping spots. All camping and lodging options are within an easy distance
in the park to Buckhorn Park Lodge.
