The MOA will host another great Getaway at the Fontana Village Resort on April 25-27, 2025. Come experience some of the best roads east of the Mississippi River in this lush mountain atmosphere. The roads wind forever, the people are friendly and good
times are just around the corner.
Room Check-In Update
Fontana Village has renovated the Main Lodge and changed the location for Room Check-In. It is now located in the General Store building instead of the Main Lodge. For easy access, turn into the property using the entry road that is located near the gas station. The General Store is located on the right hand side as you go up the hill into the Village. Parking is available in front of the building. There is also new signage that will direct you to the new location.
  
The Fontana Village Resort is located in Fontana Dam, North Carolina (N35 26.218 W83 49.468), and served as the home for the men and women who constructed the magnificent Fontana Dam in the 1940s. Today the resort is a blend of the old and new with a
magnificent lodge, cabins and even tent and RV sites available as accommodations.
Arrive anytime on Friday and join us for a reception in the Recreation Hall. We’ll have a hot dinner, cool drinks and a cash bar will be available. We encourage you to bring your bike, park out front and hang out with us. This will be a great time to
mingle and make new friends as we tell tall tales, kick tires and take names!
Throughout the evening, plan your Saturday adventure with available information (and downloadable maps! see below) on area rides and points of interest you can explore around the area. Great roads and interesting spots beckon no matter which direction
you go. The almost endless list includes the famous Deal’s Gap, the Cherohala Skyway and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Suggested rides will vary in length so you can choose what best fits your schedule for the day.
Whether you get up at dawn and head out early or sleep in late and explore on foot, Saturday is your day to ride the area or just relax and enjoy the resort. Whatever you plan for the day, make sure you are back at the Recreation Hall in time for a fantastic
North Carolina-style barbeque dinner. Be prepared to share details of your day’s adventure with those at your table! We’ll give away over $500 in great door prizes, too, so book your Fontana Getaway now as space is limited and we anticipate this Getaway
will sell out quickly.
The $149 event fee includes a Friday night welcome party and dinner with cash bar, Saturday night dinner and awards with cash bar, $500 worth of door prizes and a special MOA gift. The Getaway event fee does not include lodging. Please call the hotel

Event fees are refundable if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will receive a voucher for a future MOA event. Please visit bmwmoa.org/refunds for a list of covered events and circumstances that qualify for an event credit.
The beautiful FONTANA VILLAGE RESORT will be the base of operations for all there is to see and do in the area. Lodging options range from single or double lodge rooms, to two-bedroom cottages, all available on a first-come, first-served basis. RV
and tent camping sites are available nearby at the base of the Fontana Dam. Participants may choose to stay at a property other than the host location.
