Event Details
Pine Mountain is not only one of Kentucky’s most scenic parks, but also a very modern resort with a hint of an historic past. The upper lobby of the Herndon J. Evans Lodge was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The passage of time has not diminished the beauty and workmanship of the original sandstone and chestnut log construction. Each of the 30 guest rooms features full amenities and a private balcony from which to enjoy the mountain view. Pet-friendly rooms are now available. Additionally, there are 11 two-bedroom cottages with porches or decks, plus nine one-bedroom cabins with fireplaces and private decks. There is no tent camping available.

Members arriving on Friday we be welcomed to a reception in the Main Lodge. Hot food and cold drinks will be waiting along with a cash bar. The Welcome Reception is a great opportunity to share stories from the trip with new friends and to catch up with old ones.
On Saturday you are free to explore the park’s features like “Chained Rock” and many beautiful overlooks or to the amazing local roads, scenery, and communities. There are a number of easy side trips including the historic Cumberland Gap or the Original Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant & Museum!
Whatever you plan for the day, make sure you are back at the main lodge for dinner. Be prepared to share details of your day’s adventure with those at your table and we’ll give away some great door prizes too!

Event fees are refundable until August 8th, 2017. After August 8th, no refunds will be given.
The Getaway event fee does not include lodging. Please call the hotel directly or visit the hotel's website for reservations and cancellation policies. Bill & Nancy will assist you in sharing rooms to keep the cost down if you wish!

Lodging
Event registration and hotel rooms are reserved separately. The beautiful Pine Mountain State park will be the host hotel for our event. The phone number for the lodge is (606) 337-3066. Be sure to tell them you're with the BMW MOA Getaway. Reservations are not available on line.
Additional lodging is available in Middlesboro or Barbourville if the lodge does become full.
NOTE:
Please contact the Event Facilitators, Nancy & Bill Van Voorhis at (865) 250-3892 as there are 2 one bedroom log cabins available and each has a queen bed and a pull out couch for $116.95 + fees & tax/night. There is also one 2 bedroom cottage to share with two queen beds and access to a private bathroom for $134.95 night which would be shared with the couple that has it reserved.

Due to the limited space of the resort, the property will strictly enforce its reservation cancellation policy. Please be aware of the policy when reserving your accommodations as the BMW MOA will not be responsible for cancellation fees charged by the resort.
The host property and the MOA maintain separate cancellation policies.
