• BMW DealersBMW no longer publishes an annual print directory of all Euro car & bike dealers; BMW does print a booklet, Service Europa 2000/2001, part No.01 99 9 787 367 (07/00) containing only national BMW websites, emergency service tel numbers and dealer network info tel numbers, but w/o separate dealer listings or maps. BMW dealer listings are now updated online at each national BMW website (below), all of which are also linked from the BMW portal, www.bmw-motorrad.com. The BMW/ Garmin GPS software list of most BMW Euro bike dealers is downloadable from the BMW UK website, www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk (click 'Navigation/Downloads/Software'). 
• Federation Internationale Motorcycliste (www.fim.ch)'s Commission on Leisure Motorcycling maintains a worldwide touring website, www.ridefim.com.The FIM European affiliate, Union of European Motorcyclists' website, www.uem-online.org, has useful Euro-specific touring information, including ferry routes & links, some 'motorcycle friendly' accomodations, and downloadable motorcycle touring maps of the Alps and adjacent regions produced by Germany's ADAC (www.adac.de) national auto & motorcycle club. ADAC's motorcycle paper maps also available free to AAA/CAA members at many ADAC offices in Germany. 
• Maps & Route PlannersThe best paper maps of Europe are by Michelin. For some countries, other maps are useful supplements: British Ordanance Survey, www.ordsvy.gov.uk; Swiss Federal Cartography,www.swisstopo.ch; Italian Touring Club (TCI), www.touringclub.it; Cappelen, www.cappelen.no for Norway; Germany's Ryborsch Verlag for Turkey. All paper maps available from multiple sources; most comprehensive USA source is distributor MapLink, retail tel 800-962-1394, http://store.MapLink.com. Online Euro route planners www.ViaMichelin.comwww.de.map24.comwww.multimap.com. Recommended Euro riding routes at www.bestbikingroads.com , and www.alpineroads.com. Paper maps and online route planners also available from some Euro national tourist offices and websites, all linked from European Travel Commission portal www.visiteurope.com. Garmin's (and competitors') Euro GPS mapping software also available, now being integrated with 'Google Earth' http://earth.google.com satellite imagery.
• Accomodations. Camping: www.interhike.comwww.ecamp.com; Hostels: Hostelling International,www.hihostels.com and commercial website, www.europeanhostels.com; Hotels, B&Bs: all online travel websites can book Euro-wide hotels; many 'motorcycle-friendly' hotel groups operate in Alpine & adjacent regions.
