Moss Tents From Irene Boettcher, President, BMWRSM (Southern Maine): May I recommend the formerly made in Maine Moss Tents? We survived ALL THREE NIGHTS camping out of doors at RA in Quebec rally (the INFAMOUS "RAIN" Quebec) along with several Nova Scotia fellows also in Moss Tents. High ground and state of the art protection paid off big time. I just bought my second Moss, the original is still in service as our lightweight overnight solo tent, the second is a three-person for more stationary use such as at rallies. http://www.mosstents.com/ 
Try a tarp instead of a tent
In lieu of a tent, or in addition to, get down to your favorite KMart, Walmart, or Army/Navy store and buy a big, plastic tarp, says Dan Galena or Erie, PA. They come in all sizes, are inexpensive (maybe $20), and extremely durable and waterproof. Buy a half-dozen bungee cords and you can use the cords to tie the tarp off to trees, poles, vehicles, or even your bikes ! It makes for a quick shelter from the rain and regardless of tarp size, they fold up into nothing and are easily carried.
Quest Tents
Contributed by , he recently discovered a tent that is very well suited to two wheel travel. The brand name is Quest and they feature a minimum of loose parts. They are a three season tent with a center hub that is attached all of the frame poles so that the tent and poles stay all in one piece. Marty says this is very convenient if you've ever set up a tent after dark . Th price is about on par with other brands, about $150 for a three man, which fits two good sized men fit very nicely. The tent packs down to a neat 7 lb. package about the size of a pie plate and 14 inches long. A vestibule is available for an additional price and some models can be zipped together to form your very own ghetto "tentament" housing complex.
