The first experience that Rally attendees have is when they register at the Rally site. We need hundreds of people like you to volunteer at Rally Registration.  Trust me - it's a blast!

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to get a look at Howard Hugh's famous Spruce Goose (forgive us Howard; we know you hated that nickname) and faintly remembering that it had been moved from Long Beach, California, to Oregon!

Welcome to Redmond, GS riders. The Rally this year is in a wonderful part of North America that lends itself to our style of off-road adventure. Of course, this is a return for the BMW MOA to a familiar Rally site, but I could not think of a better one to repeat.

Would you like to have your bike tied down safely on pallets in railroad baggage cars, on the same train you take to Oregon from DC or Chicago? Dozens of riders elected such an option for the 2001 Oregon rally. We hope that just as many will be able to do the same this year.

The 38^th BMW MOA International Rally will prove to be the best ever for those who choose to travel in their RV.  There is a new RV Park that is part of the Fairgrounds. There are 105 full hook-up sites. Each site comes with a charcoal grill and picnic table.

The BMW MOA International Rally is one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world. We couldn't do it without the support of the countless volunteers who share their vacation time while at the Rally to help fellow riders. Learn more about the 2010 Rally here.

It was a short ride from The Dalles to the town of Biggs and the turnoff where Oregon's "The Journey Through Time Scenic Byway" begins its long, winding route through the stunning geology of Eastern Oregon.

Redmond is in Central Oregon, about 30 miles east of the Cascade Mountains. It has a population of about 25,000 people. Expect dry, sunny weather in the summer.

Many roads lead to Redmond, Oregon, but they are not equal. For me, Oregon's Highway 97 and I-5 are roads to avoid. The other Oregon is blessed with thousands of miles of well maintained back roads that are a siren's call to anyone on two wheels.

As was the case in 2001, this BMW MOA International Rally will be at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon. For those of you who attended the 2001 Rally you already know that this is a wonderful facility and a stunning location!
