Let loose your roost at the GS Challenge!
Come test your off-road riding skills and learn some new ones.... whether you're a nervous noob or a grizzled veteran, you're going to have a lot of fun.
Courtesy of BMW Motorrad and the BMW Performance Driving Center, you can test your mettle on the fairgrounds motocross track, specially prepared for GS skills training and a little good-natured competition. You'll get a taste of the training that's available in the off-road school at the BMW Performance Driving Center in Spartanburg, SC. And then have the chance put your new skills up against fellow riders to see if you're up to the challenge.
Starting on Thursday, there will be regularly-scheduled training sessions throughout the day where groups of riders can ride and learn from the masters. On Friday, the games begin as you tackle your choice of challenge: t
- Touch & Die Trials - where you'll negotiate a prescribed trail over the not-flat ground;
- Go Pound Sand - find out how soft your touch is in the soft stuff;
- The Barrel Brawl - where you'll face off against a fellow competitor in a circular fury;
- Bridge Gone Bad - a narrow bridge that gets narrower as you go; and
- Monster Mash - find the line through the monster truck tires.
Sprinkled throughout will be as many bumps, drops, turns and berms as you care to take on.
