Walk-On Student-Riders WELCOME !
We're not full yet! Walk-on Students are encouraged and welcome to enroll in the BMW MOA Foundation's Experienced RiderCourse - SkillsPlus during the Rally. Several vacancies still exist for these RiderCourses, which are conducted Tuesday THROUGH Friday at the Daniel Boone High School, 1440 Suncrest Dr, Gray TN.
The ERC SkillsPlus RiderCourse helps riders with some experience move their riding skills up to the next level, including practice in the life-saving maneuvers of braking, cornering and swerving. In addition, students consider and discuss an array of mental strategies that can help riders predict and avoid impending hazards while riding. Upon completion, students receive a Completion Card that may entitle the rider to insurance discounts, and permit access to US military installations while riding.
Walk-on students will be able to take vacancies on a 'first-come, first-seated' basis. RiderCourses begin EACH DAY at 7am and 12pm (noon).
Be early!
Students will need to show proof of insurance, registration, a motorcycle-endorsed driving license and the bike must pass a safety inspection (2/32" minimum tire-tread, no really loud pipes). Student-riders under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the beginning of the class; riders using a 'borrowed' motorcycle (i.e.
registered to someone else) must submit a NOTARIZED permission, including VIN.
Course fee is $40, payable at registration. Call Roger at 706.897.8266 anytime for more information.
