2005 BMW MOA Beemerville USA Rally
Have you ever dreamed
of riding on a premier race course on your BMW? Have you ever dreamed of going
as fast as you like, without fear of speeding tickets? Have you ever dreamed
of improving your riding skills with instruction on a race track?
The BMWMOA, in conjunction with Sportbike Track Time is ready to make your
dreams come true this July with a track day at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. Mid Ohio is one of the premier road courses in the US, it is a 2.5
mile venue, and offers a challenge, as well as a beautiful setting for everyone to enjoy.
The package we are offering includes:
- A full day of on course riding from 9am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch.
- Classroom instruction and track coaches during on track sessions.
- A two group format, for 30 minute rotations on and off the track. This means three and a half
hours of track time. Most track days offer either a 3 or 4 group format. This limits track time
to 15-20 minutes of track time each hour. As you can see, the two group format allows considerably more time on the track than traditional days.
- The same corner workers and EMS crews used by the AMA.
- A photo CD for every rider including on track shots, a group photo, and paddock shots taken during the day.
- Fruit and doughnuts for a morning snack before and during registration.
- Lunch- sandwiches, chips and a drink.
- Water and gatoraide will be available during the day to stay hydrated.
- A special two up session, allowing riders to take a passenger out to experience the thrill of the track.
- A Sportbike Track Time Tshirt
- A certificate to commerate the day.
In order
to offer the two group format, and maximum track time, the track day will be
offered to the first 70 riders to register. The track day will happen on July
21st, a premium day during bike week at Mid Ohio.
A special "laps and lunch" is being offered to those of you who would like to ride on the
track, but not spend the whole day. Laps and lunch consists of the same lunch, a sandwich, chips and a drink
that the riders participating in the track day get, along with paced laps on the track during the lunch break.
These are not the "parade" laps that you may have seen at AMA events. They will be spirited laps, letting you get the experience of "opening it up" on the back straight.
Laps and lunch will be limited to 250 riders, in order to allow everyone at least 6 laps around the track.
The cost of the Track day is $275.00. For a premium date at a premier course,
this is a very reasonable rate. Consider, you will get over 3 hours of actual
track time! This equates to approximately 125-150 miles on the track.
Cost for the Laps and Lunch is $20.00. The proceeds of which will go to the
Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research. The more riders who participate
in the Laps and Lunch, the more we can donate to cancer research.
