BMW at Beemerville
BMW Motorrad USA at Beemerville USA
BMW Demo Truck
The BMW Motorrad USA Demo Truck (two trucks and trailers, actually) will be back at the MOA National
with demo rides on current and new BMW models including the K 1200 S, R 1200 RT and R 1200 ST.
Demos will run from 8 am to 5pm from Thursday July 21 through Saturday July 23. Each ride is about
45 minutes long with a chance to switch to another model at the mid-point.
Signups take place each day: slots for some desired models might fill up quickly, so be prepared
to come early to guarantee your place. As always, appropriate riding gear is required.
AMA Hall of Fame Exhibition
BMW Motorrad USA is sponsoring a year-long exhibition of the AMA Hall of Fame
Museum starting June 1, 2005 called “BMW:
The Mastery of Speed”. This will feature a select group of sport bikes from
BMW from the R 47 “Rennmaschine” to the brand new K 1200 R – the most powerful
naked bike ever made. The AMA will host a special showing for BMW riders on
Wednesday, July 20 at 3PM to include food and refreshments. The Hall of Fame
Museum is in Pickerington, Ohio
just 45 minutes ride from the National in Lima, so it’s ideal for dropping by
on the way to the rally. There will also be goodies provided to attendees courtesy
of BMW Motorrad USA. Go to www.motorcyclemuseum.org
for directions and more information.
BMW Mobile Tradition
Two experts on BMW’s history will be returning to the U.S. to show off the new parts and
accessories offered by Mobile Tradition to help keep all of those classic BMW’s on the road.
Andreas Miessner and Georg Blumoser will also provide sample copies of Mobile Tradition Live,
the new publication for BMW vintage fans (of both cars and bikes), free Ernst Henne 100th.
Birthday posters and other neat stuff - while supplies last. In exchange, they’ll be looking for
feedback on how Mobile Tradition can better service U.S. riders of BMW vintage bikes. If you are a vintage
bike owner and want your voice to be heard, now is your chance!
BMW Technical Seminars
BMW Motorrad USA technical personnel Joan Horst, Doug Higham and Jack DelPizzo will offer a
series of seminars on topics guaranteed to excite riders who want to know about the latest and
greatest. Seminars will be offered on the new BMW apparel and accessory line, on the new K-engine
designed for the K 1200 S and the brand new K 1200 R, and on the extraordinary handling offered
by the new Duolever suspension technology. We’ll show engine cutaways and other machine
component displays never before seen outside the BMW Master Tech training room.
If you’re a gear-head, this is for you.
