The Paul B. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Paul Bachorz. Paul was an active member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Vermont, the BMW MOA and the BMW RA. He also provided valuable contributions to the BMW Owners News as editor of the very popular “Touring Tips” column. More importantly, he was a BMW motorcyclist with a gigantic heart and a love for BMW people.

The BMW Motorcycle Owners of Vermont, chartered club #115, provided the seed money to establish a scholarship fund in Paul’s memory. The purpose of the Paul B. Scholarship is to award $250 grants to individuals for motorcycle rider education and training opportunities. The Foundation will award 40 scholarships annually for BMW MOA members to attend the training of their choice.

In no case will grants be approved for scholarship requests submitted after a training or rider education program has been completed. Awards are issued in the form of third party payments to the approved training vendor. Recipients of the award will be contacted by a member of the Foundation Board of Directors with questions or final arrangements.
