Here are the guidelines for the 2016 BMW MOA Mileage Contest, which
starts on Saturday, April 9. Change your oil, fill your tank, brush off
the dust and hit the road!
While you may enter all three mileage contests, you may finish ONLY
one (1) Contest – Summer, Winter or Annual. An entry form for the Winter
Contest will be included in the October BMW ON.
Submit the form for Summer/Annual now. Because starting mileage for both contests is the same, only one form is required.
The top three finishers must be able to provide verification of mileage upon request (service, gas or tire receipts).
Always include your BMW MOA member number on all correspondence.
When entering mi/km, always include the total mileage on a bike with
more than 100,000 mi/km with an odometer that has turned over to 0.
(25,000 mi/km on a bike that has gone over 100,000 should be reported as
125,000; over 200,000 reported as 225,000, etc.)
Miles/kilometers ridden must be on a BMW.
All Mileage Contest participants must maintain a BMW MOA membership throughout the Mileage Contest time period.
Please indicate if miles or kilometers.
If you trade bikes or change speedometers during the Contest, send in
your Final Mileage and the new Starting Mileage, signed by the dealer
Must be postmarked within four weeks (if loaner/rental bike used, please provide verification of mileage).
Beginning and Ending Mileage Contest readings must be submitted on
the official form included in the BMW Owners News. Photographic
reproductions of this form are also acceptable.
If you live in a remote area, and have difficulty getting signatures, that will be taken into consideration.
Start and Finish Forms for the same Contest will NOT be accepted at
the same time (e.g., in October), unless you join BMW MOA after the
start of the contest AND verification of starting mileage can be
