Chartered Club Tool Kit
As an MOA Chartered Club, several tools are available free of charge.  The following list is not all inclusive, but it is a solid list of benefits along with the appropriate person to contact for more information.

Use of BMW Trademarks

BMW Motorcycle Owners of America is an umbrella club represented on the International Council of Clubs.  This provides the MOA and its member organizations the ability to utilize the word mark "BMW" and the roundel in specific formats.  See the BMW International Council of Clubs Logo Usage Guidelines page for more information.

Questions about logo and trademark usage should be addressed to Karin Halker.

Event Listing

Promote your Rally or event with a free event listing in our calendar.  Five minutes to fill out the event listing form and you are on your way to being published on bmwmoa.org and in the BMW Owners News.

Rally and Event Insurance

Having trouble finding event insurance coverage for your gathering? Chartered Clubs can buy event coverage for a flat rate of $400. Complete the Event Coverage Form and the Membership Team will take care of the rest.

Website Listing and Information Page

MOA Chartered Clubs receive a page on the MOA website that is visible to all MOA members.  The page is populated and maintained by the chartered club for information purposes.  Listings can include the club's official website information, meeting times, welcome messages, blog posts and event listings.

Questions about the web pages should be directed to Ray Tubbs.

Listing in BMW Owners Anonymous Book

Along with the website listing, each Chartered Club will be provided a listing in the annual BMW Owners Anonymous Book. Each Chartered Club will have a username and password to maintain the club's current information, officers, addresses, websites, etc.

Questions about the Anonymous Book listing should be addressed to the Amanda Faraj.

Rally and Event Promotion

Your rally or event is likely the high point of the year for your club.  The MOA can offer several ways to promote your rally, event or open house - usually at no charge to the Chartered Club.

Each club is allowed 10" of advertising space (1/3 page ad) in the BMW Owners News.  But the Owners News isn't the only method.  The MOA also utilizes a bi-weekly email newsletter, information eBlasts to members in specific geographies and website announcements.  We can even include direct mail flyers and inserts in renewal package or custom campaigns.

Contact Chris Hughes, Director of Advertising, for more information and creative ways the MOA can promote your event.

MOA Gear for Event Prizes

Who doesn't love a little SWAG? Contact Amanda Faraj for cool MOA Gear to giveaway at your next event. Looking for some new fundraising ideas? It isn't guaranteed, but you never know what new gear from the latest product review might be available for silent auction at your event. Contact Bill Wiegand to put your club on the list.

Joint Recruiting EffortS

Have an idea for a cool membership drive? The MOA can help with your recruiting effort. Contact Ken Engelman with your ideas or to brainstorm a custom solution for your club.

Dedicated Representation to Board of Directors

The REGIONAL COORDINATORS have a seat at the Board of Directors table. Designated as Key Volunteers for the MOA, the Regional Coordinators are your link to the decision makers. The Regional Coordinators routinely solicit feedback from the Charted Clubs and represents your interest in the decision making process.

Leadership LUNCHEON

Each year at the BMW MOA International Rally, the MOA hosts a round table for Chartered Club Presidents.  It is an informational seminar and opportunity to share best practices between the clubs.  The Leadership Luncheon is also a great time to send the agenda for the coming year and let the MOA know your priorities as a local club

Owners NEws Coverage of Club Activities

The magazine news hounds are always on the hunt for another story or interesting article.  The BMW Owners News features the "Ace of Clubs" on a regular basis to showcase clubs and their activities.  Think you have the inside scoop on a hot topic? Share it with BMW Owners News Managing Editor Bill Wiegand and you could be the newest contributor.
