Ambassador N8!
BMW racer Nate Kern #111314 received an Ambassador Award from BMW MOA Executive Director, Ray Zimmerman, during Daytona Bike Week in February. "N8!" made his racing debut in March 2002 in Daytona. In 2004, he was invited to race in the prestigious FIM BMW Motorrad Boxer Cup. Nate won the overall championship in the CCS Mid Atlantic and Southeast regions, walking away with his first #1 plate. He was invited to join the BMW Motorrad Factory Team to participate in the world class "24 Hours of LeMans" in France. Serving as a backup rider, Nate proved his abilities in his first outing aboard a new prototype Boxer.
In 2008, he competed in 68 combined national and regional races and produced many first place finishes and three new track records. He took home the coveted ASRA Pro Thunderbike Championship and three regional CCS Championships on an R1200S and an HP2 Sport. Wherever he races, he is surrounded by BMW fans that cheer him on and assist him trackside.
A true Ambassador for the BMW MOA, Nate competed in four races in Daytona to start 2009 season. He had three podium finishes, and plans to continue defending his ASRA National Championship. As the new S1000RR ambassador for the U.S. market, from June to December he will have two S1000RR that he will be riding at track days, bike nights and various open houses around the country.
