It is widely recognized that a motorcycle rider's capability to stay safe is greatly increased when they are actively involved in rider education and training. The BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Foundation is raising funds to educate and train riders of all ages and abilities in the skills needed to stay safe while enjoying their passion for motorcycle riding. The Foundation promotes programs for riders of all ages and experience levels with special emphasis on youth, women and families who enjoy motorcycle riding. The Foundation's Rider Performance University (RPU) provides members and affiliates with a rich menu of opportunities to improve riders' visual, mental and perishable physical skills.

All RPU events are funded by the generous donations from supporters of the BMW MOA Foundation, a 501(c) (3) Public Educational Foundation. The opportunity for professional instruction and camaraderie while learning returns satisfying results and boosts the confidence of riders both on and off the pavement. We are grateful to friends who, year after year, have donated their time, talent and financial resources by contributing to this mission of "Advancing Rider Safety, Education and Training."   This month we are pleased to announce the kick-off of our annual fundraising campaign, the "2011 Challenge In addition, we are proud to announce that Paul and Voni Glaves will serve as the Honorary Chairs for our first campaign. Time and time again Paul and Voni have demonstrated their dedication to the BMW MOA, to the Foundation, and to a safe-motorcycling lifestyle.
