A very special BMW MOA 40th Anniversary Tour

June 24 - July 8, 2012

Includes 2 days at Garmisch BMW Days

The European Alps are the most magical place in the world to ride motorcycles. This tour focuses on that magic.  Beginning and ending in Munich, the first day on the road is a pleasant, relaxing ride through the Bavarian countryside. The scenery takes an exciting turn as the Alps come into view, dominating the horizon. Your introduction to mountain riding is via the relatively wide, easy Fernpass or the narrow, wild Hahntenjoch. These high mountain roads that climb up and over the peaks offer you unparalleled views and
challenges.

During the next few days, as you explore Switzerland, you may opt to enjoy the Klausen, Pragel, Brunig, St. Gottard, Lukmanier, Grimsel or Susten passes. Continue east to the Engiadina valley, where enthusiastic pass riders may surmount the Gluela, Ofen, Splugen, San Bernardino, Bernina, Abula, Maloja, or Julier passes.

Then on to the beauty of Italy, where the striking scenery and exciting riding compete for attentions. The Dolomites are simply massive and pass roads allow up close access to them. Austrian towns steeped in history are next. To the very end of the tour, the riding remains first rate.

We will spend 2 nights in Garmisch-Partenkirchen to attend the largest BMW gathering in the world - BMW Motorrad Days. With stunt performances, test rides including off-road riding on a purpose-built motocross track, show races, and numerous displays and exhibitions from BMW Motorrad partners offering just about anything and everything a motorcyclist could want, the program of events at BMW Days is comprehensive.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Beach's Motorcycle Adventures and of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America this adventure will feature a tour of BMW's plant in Munich!
