AHRMA Announces 2009 Bike Week Schedule
AHRMA Members don’t just go the Bike Week, they relive history!

The American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association is the recognized leader in classic motorcycle racing in North America, and one of the premier vintage organizations in the world. AHRMA is a member-owned not-for-profit association offering national and regional road racing, motocross, dirt track, cross country and observed trials competition. AHRMA also showcased “alternative’’ modern racing–Sound of Singles®, Battle of Twins®, and Sound of Thunder®.

AHRMA Members don’t just go the Bike Week, they relive history!

Sunday March 1:

AHRMA/Michigan Engineering Historic Cup Roadrace Series: Registration & tech inspection 8 am—4 pm; Lunch break 12:00 pm and The Great Men of Daytona presented by Kal-Gard. Autograph signing noon. Volusia County Fairgrounds; intersection of I-4 and Route 44. Meet the past champions, the men that made motorcycle history, hear their stories.

Monday & Tuesday March 2—3:

AHRMA/Michigan Engineering Historic Cup Roadrace Series: Gates open 7 am; 2 rounds of practice beginning at 8 am, racing at noon; Daytona International Speedway. Full Track will be used!

AHRMA is not just about vintage! New for 2009, The TransAtlantic Challenge Class added to the Battle of the Twins series pits Triumph Thruxtons against Harley Davidson Sportsters. The TransAtlantic Challenge replaces the Thruxton Cup for the 2009 AHRMA road racing season. Both marquees will compete in near Supersport trim to promote close, exciting racing. The battle between the Stars and Stripes and the Union Jack continues at Daytona with rounds 2 and 3 for the year.

Friday, March 6:

AHRMA Concourse Bike Exhibition at the J. Wood & Co. 22nd Annual Daytona Antique & Classic Motorcycle Auction, Trade Show and Swap Meet. Race Bikes & all Bikes through 1970. Registration 9am. Judging at noon! Edmondson Center, 421 Woodland Blvd, Stetson University, DeLand FL.
