Joe Skaggs' name was pulled from 6,175 entries in the BMW MOA Foundation's raffle drawing for a custom Wunderlich R100! Hailing from Rogers, Arkansas, Joe was sitting comfortably in front of his tent with friends at Das Rally when the winning name was drawn by none other than Rally headliner, Paul Thorne.
It took about 30 minutes before word finally made its way to the camping area and eventually to Joe. A few glamour shots and some big grins later, the news finally sunk in that Joe was the big winner! Surrounded by friends offering to trailer the bike home from New York, Joe exclaimed, "I really want to ride it home!"
The raffle netted over $50,000 for rider safety, education and training administered by the BMW MOA Foundation.
