Metzeler updates Heritage Range of tires for classic, vintage motorcycles

Usually associated with staying on the cutting edge of motorcycle tire design, Metzeler committed itself to improving the performance of vintage and classic motorcycles with its updated Heritage Range.

Launched in late 2015, the newest addition to the Heritage Range is the SPORTEC Klassik.  This tire is aimed at riders who enjoy motorcycles from the 1980s and introduces heightened cornering with great line stability and feedback.  The tread pattern is loosely based on the ME22, but uses modern compounds and materials and is especially suited for motorcycles such as the R 100.

Other tires in the Heritage Line are:

·      LASERTEC – for bikes from the 1970s through ‘90s sporting bias-ply tires.

·      Perfect ME11 Front – features a classic rib tread just like tires did in the 1960s and ‘70s. Available for tubed or tubeless wheels and pairs well with a Perfect ME77 or Block C rear tire.

·      Block C – the tire for motorcycles from the 1960s and bi-directional to boot.

·      Perfect ME77 – sports the Metzeler vintage look and gives easy handling on dry roads and great wet weather performance as well.  Available for tubed or tubeless applications in rear wheel sizes only.

·      Block K – Metzeler’s special tire for classic motorcycles equipped with a sidecar; features a flat profile and requires tubes.
