Enough winter storms! Drain the gas from the snowblower and put away the shovel. It’s time to ride! The annual BMW MOA mileage contest begins on Saturday, April 11, and runs through Sunday, October 11.

The Mileage Contest is open to all current BMW MOA members who log miles on a BMW motorcycle. To enter, download the Mileage Contest form. Document your beginning mileage on each BMW motorcycle and send the form to the address listed. Start riding and don’t stop!

For an added incentive, this year’s top three finishers and the average mileage rider for men and women will receive a free set of Michelin tires – eight sets total. The Mileage Contest is all in good fun and an excuse to ride, but for those that really log the miles, a free set of tires never hurts. You might even see your smiling face in the BMW Owners News next year!

Full contest rules and information is available on the Mileage Contest page or contact steve brunner.

Sent my form in for this year but cannot find my copy. What is chance of getting one? Thanks, G Draper #74909

I was re-reading the Mileage Contest winners from the April issue this morning and was particularly impressed by Hawaii's Danny Graham's total 22,436 miles. As a former resident there I know Danny would have seen the same road many times to do that.

Just as William commented, our mileage results are aren't reported correctly either. My wife's mileage is listed as 4,406 miles but she actually did 12,875 miles My mileage is listed as 2,894 miles but I actually did 9,142 miles I saved copies of our forms which were reported correctly.

Anyone ever find where the 2014 top 25 list is located?

Seems to have been my mistake. That must be why they say pay attention to details!

Received the April issue today and looked at the mileage results. What a shocker! It listed me at 4,647 miles. How in the wild world of sports did that happen. Unless there's a huge mistake in one of my forms, ya'll blundered. I didn't save my numbers that I submitted, but my maintenance log shows last year to be in the neighborhood of 11K. Y'all done went and embarrassed me with that 4647 number!

The state by state results are there, and they refer to the list of the top 25...but it appears there is an error in not including them in the article.

2014 results appear in the April 2015 issue, which should arrive in homes the week of March 30.
