Global Touring by BMW
INTRODUCTION
|
'Global
Touring' tries to cover all the ways BMW riders can tour throughout the
world. Each month or so, BMW Owners News magazine suggests
programs and resources to help you ride in Europe, North America, and
everywhere globally, including group tours, BMW rentals, airfreight programs,
bike trading, insurance services, and related information. Because each
BMW ON tends to describe only one or two services in depth,
it's easy to miss the bigger picture.

This global touring 'rolodex'
website complements the magazine by listing in one location
most global BMW riding resources described in more detailed BMW ON articles;
and the website is continuously updated to assist your tour planning. These
'rolodex' listings are primarily, but not exclusively, for the 'most of us'
with relatively short-term, 2-4 week, riding vacations.
Some of the information
on this website is useful for long-term, long distance 'adventure' rides around
the world or to/in less developed regions. But such rides also require significant
additional information found in specialty guidebooks and websites; the Beyond
Europe section includes lists and links to the best of these.
NoAmer tel/fax, @email address
, www/website, if available, are listed first, followed by overseas offices;
country dialing codes are shown by a "+" just before the number (e.g.
+44/), to show that you must first dial an international access code. From NoAmerica,
the direct dial access code is 011; that code varies when dialing from other
countries.
