1150 GSA joins a group of dirtbikes...

Got an invite to do a run up over the local mountains on some of the more challenging "offshoot" trails. GSA was in the garage with a relatively fresh set of TKCs on it so ...

Rode with these guys out to the trails:

Brought a couple cameras & gave one to a friend who got some shots of the GS going through the paces. When 650's started going down it turned into a "wonder what the GS can do" ride

I know these trails, but had only ridden them on a KTM 450 previously. Was pleasantly surprised how deftly the GS went through pretty much everything! By far the toughest part of the day was when a 650 got stuck in front of me on a climb and I had to stop the big beast in a very precarious spot and then heft the bike around to a halfway decent starting spot to continue up ... regardless, it got through everything no problem & made for a nice freeway blast home!

Check out the butterfly...

The word "committed" comes to mind when I look at this shot:

Nice, very very nice.

Great report! Nice shots, too. Good for you showing those 650s a thing or two.

I miss Huntington Beach. . . .

Absolutely fantastic! I love seeing a big GS out there mixing it up in the dirt.
