George, did you sell the gold RS? Just wondering, as I see you have the Motosport.

I did sell it and shortly afterwards I realized I made a dumb mistake. Of course I've never heard of a smart mistake. But anyway,I have another '78 RS and it's a keeper.

Well, good to see you have another. I always liked the motosport edition.

I didn’t realize that posting a picture of your bike in the airhead section set off a 100 point Concours ‘de Elegance Judging, cool!. Is there an awards ceremony at the end of the year? Will there be a gallery of the finalists? Are there classes? If so what are they? I take it from the comments in some of the posts lkchris is not an official judge; to bad. His pithy comments can be a bit sardonic even for my tastes but they normally are razor sharp and full of information making them more often than not worth the read and taking the time to get the point. So how is the final judging done?

Again – Nice Bike. .
My bike is far from original. It has a lot of accessories that make it more useful, such as a Brown's, Reynolds rack and back rest, just to name a few add on's. I think a lot of us start out wanting to keep our bike original and end up somewhere north of that!

Nothing wrong with making a bike practical as long as a bunch of holes aren't drilled and original parts thrown away.

I have the original parts still, though not many were removed. Reynolds, Brown's etcetera work with what is there, OEM sidestand is still in place. I did have to add Reynold's bag mounts when I installed the rear rack. These look similar to BMW bags and Hepco-Becker. No holes have been drilled save for a BMW mudflap on the rear fender and one on the front.
