Gerbing's Heated Liners at Cyclenutz
Now in stock are Gerbing's new Microwire Heated Jacket Liners, G3 gloves, and T5 gloves.
If you aren't familiar with what Microwire is, it's the latest and greatest technology in heated gear that uses hundreds microscopic stainless steel strands instead of the traditional copper wire that was used before it. The "Thinner, Lighter, Stronger, Faster" advantages of the Microwire™ technology are immediately obvious in both how it feels and how quickly it heats up (0 – 120 degrees in 4 seconds). Not only are we happy to finally be a Gerbing's dealer, but we're participating in the Test ride program that was just announced. With the test ride program we let you take a new Microwire Liner out for a test ride so you can see and feel the difference yourself. How thick are the heated insoles?

Hey Roy how's yer birthday gift treating you?
 tommcgee, the insoles are comparable to the normal Dr. Scholls. The way they work is you remove the insole that came with your boot and replace it with the Gerbing's one. When you don't want to run the heated ones you simply put the original ones back in and you are set. |

Nothing is advertised as being TSA approved so I wasn't sure of the answer. I checked with my rep. and she commented that she carries the products in the carry-on luggage and hasn't had a problem. She did suggest that if you wore one on a flight, you might want to carry a brochure or tag just in case. So, while not a definitive answer, that's one person’s experiences. Hope that helps, Tony |
