Anyone in Peru or planning to be?

I'm moving to Lima on March 1 and my bike is following later that month.I'm sharing a container with a rider who is moving his household goods and bike to Lima also.
I mention this because there will PROBABLY be space for 1 or 2 more bikes at a very reasonable rate, read:CHEAP!
If no others interested, more room for our junk!
Seriously,it may be a cheap way to get your bike at least part-way down for a southern ride.
4 months and 5 days,but who's counting.......

John

Is that the shipping container out of Miami with the household goods and extra space ? The one with the flat pallet verses the traditional crate packing and its going by sea with a ten day arrival ?

If so that is a great way to get there.

Yes it is.I wish it was tomorrow!Gaston left for Lima on Sunday for a month and I'll be going down for a week on the 10th to look for an apartment, get my bearings,do some gambling, drink a beer, chase some some women, but I digress....
Nice thing about the container is I can ship other cycle needs too, like oil, parts, ect. that would cost a fortune locally or a fortune to ship.Luckily I have found two locals who have BMW experience since the is no stealer there. We're going to to the pallets ourselves.
Looks like we'll have 4 bikes so far for a mid-March shipping date,2 BMWs and 2 KTMs.The KTM riders are beginning a tour when their bikes arrive.
Good to hear from you.

Been in Lima since Tuesday.Saw the sun (hazy) for the 1st time today. The city is nice as are the people, traffic is awful and in 3 days,I've only seen 4 stop signs.
The wx leaves much to be desired-too cool for this warm wx rider who likes to live in shorts and t-shirt.So back to plan A-Ensenada on March 1.
