I called MCN and they had no record of my subscription. I was disappointed with MCN. The lady sounded pissed that I was calling to see if they had my info from KAS. She quoted me the same phone number I have on the receipt from KAS and said call them. I tried. No Answer. I went to the bank and filed a dispute on my VISA with KAS.
I know some folks say that they are behind. The thing that really gets me is they had plenty of time to charge my visa. I am done with KAS for sure and I wish the MOA would ban them. If I see them at another rally I may sit my Kermit chair in front of the booth and warn potential victims. I am done with MCN as well. If they are supposed to be the "consumer reports" of the motorcycle industry but allows a company with a BBB rating of F to represent them I don't trust what they print!!! In case you check KAS is not a BBB member, but there have been so many complaints they still have a F rating. |

Motorcycle Consumer News own website
Folks
You may also simply go to Motorcycle Consumer News own website and subscibe for only $22 a year. Seems like that's a lot easier than dealing with any third party sales company. ![]() http://www.mcnews.com/mcn/ ![]() Max |

In case you didn't know vendors are charged for their space, it's not free. Now add travel expense, employees, and the such. Next year I'll be making a 6000 mile round trip to Redmond. That's 6K of diesel fuel at 9.5mpg, not including wear and tear. So far I haven't found another show on the way out or the way back to offset the travel expenses. I know quit a few vendors who attended this year who will not do the trip next year. To be honest with you if I was selling tires I would sell them at list price unless someone paid for them in advance of the rally. I couldn't imagine what tires to bring, how many, the logistics of having qualified employees mount them, plus the hotel, food, and travel expenses of it all. As for KAS, I was surprised to see that they were there this year after all of the complaints last year. Unethical vendors really do need to be banned from future events. I would suggest contacting Sam Munn the rally vendor coordinator. |

Hi Nplenzick, Please don't think I was bashing Vendors in general. Just the one who charged my credit card immediatly and then did not have the time to forward the subscripton on to MCN. I really appreciate vendors. In fact I won a door prize at the RA rally and personally hunted the vendor and thanked them for donating the prize. A great experence getting to meet the vendor and learn more about the products they sold. I do not know what you were vending but you were probably an OK vendor. I expect 99% are. Just like the folks on this board and others. I have bought items and only been misrepresented once. I guess that is what I expected of all vendors at a BMW rally. Mike |

I completely agree with you about the vendor who took your money and I would hope that after two years of complaints that they would not be allowed back. |
