I don't see what was wrong with the last BAND we had.
Looked to me everyone was having a good time.
BUT... there is always one grumpy in the group.

    Dave:

Your comment, "it would probably drive most folks away" concerning your ipod music solved it for me!
I've been pondering why the lap top music at Daytona was so unobtrusive and pleasantly bearable even though a lot of it was not my style.
I think it was in the variety, the disc jockey mixed it up enough so you never got hammered. Also the disc jockey moved around in the crowd, bantering here and there with a remote mike so we all had smiles.

Question: which would drive you away faster - Bluegrass or 80's Irish Pop?

    Thumbs up More Band Wars

They must have "Rushed" off somewhere else. I've seen Rush 6 times over the years and they are always good.

Both David Gilmour and Roger Waters are touring this summer but not together and I'm sure not to Vermont.

Blue Oyster Cult would be good. My GS kinda looks like Godzilla.

I'm currently using iFill to load about 8 or so hours of Ambient Chill and vintage soul on my iPod.

Maybe we could use those? The ambient is getting pulled down off of Groove Salad. www.somafm.com Cruise on over for a taste. It'll get you all cooled down.

    2006 VT MOA Rally Bands

There have been a lot of good suggestions and guesses so far, but here is the actual lineup for the VT MOA International Rally

Wednesday evening set up volunteer appreciation night show:
    "Named by Strangers"; www.namedbystrangers.com

Thursday evening, a great night of hard driving blues with:
    "Popa Chubby"; www.popachubby.com

Friday evening, a fantastic double bill featuring:
"Professor Louie and the Crowmatix"; www.woodstockrecords.com AND
"Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen"; www.commandercody.com

Saturday evening will feature a very rare appearance by the:
"David Bromberg Quartet" and special guests "Angel Band"
    www.davidbromberg.net

Wow, what a lineup! You couldn't buy a ticket to any one of these shows for the price of your admission to the ENTIRE VT MOA International Rally! Be sure to save some time at the rally to enjoy the excellent entertainment schedule this year in,

It would be cool if we had a DJ volunteer group. Members can volunteer to DJ with their ipods or laptop in the beer garden. 2 hour slots depending on how many DJs. Of course the goal is to try to create a mix that can be enjoyed by all, so I wouldn't play any death-metal.

    "Pink Floyd The Wall"

You had to mention Roger Waters.....
My son was 13 when "Pink Floyd The Wall" came out and my wife asked me to go see it first because it was rated "R". I almost didn't go, I was an Elvis, Hank type back then. As it turned out I was mesmerized from beginning to end. That movie opened a whole new world of music to me. Years later I stumbled on to a Pink Floyd radio special interview titled "Wish You Were Here", anyone have a line on it? I only got part of it on tape but I managed to get Roger Waters telling what inspired "The Wall" album and consequently the movie, what genius!

You can count me in on that, whoa! have you got something going here!?
I'm willing to bring my 20 GB ipod, amplifier, two Bose model 101 4 ohm speakers (big enough?) plus all cords in my Bushtec trailer. What do you have in mind?
