I agree (and I have a K1300S). I think the RS in the taxi cab paint scheme is the best looking bike that BMW has made yet. I wish they still made them -- I would have bought it.

Sweet K. I have the '88 RS/SE. What windscreen is that if I might ask. I'm itching to take a short tour (4-5 days or so) and would like a little more wind protection than my stock setup.

i thought for sure i'd posted in this forum already but couldn't find my bike in the 70+ pages... go figure, right? anyway here we go. this my first BMW. 1988 K100RS. i bought it from a friend, and it was some off color of blue, with kinda garish pin striping on it.
i had it painted a BMW color, the Dark Graphite- tho maybe the K100 never came in that color. was going to replicate a factory pin striping job but decided the bike looked so clean in JUST the graphite, so let the pin striping job go. i've had the bike since 2005?2006? i have more money in paint alone than the bike is worth, not to mention any work i've had done to it (since every PO just let things go). every now and then i think,

"Maybe i'll sell that K100." ultimately, i can't bring myself to do it. she's a keeper.

at Mid Ohio's VMD in 2010, fully loaded.

Ohlins rear shock, Parabellum windscreen, and Corbin saddle

not really a good pic of the bike, just a nice photo. t'was taken on a decommissioned Covered Bridge...

    cheers!
