Why would you automatically accuse the MOA of increased costs and waste involved? Firstly, the weight difference is not enough to bump the cost over a regular one ounce postage cost, secondly, maybe that weird thin material is difficult to get and costs the same or even more than a thick plastic material? After all, I haven't seen many cards using that thin material.

This just shows that the organization is out of touch.
Welcome to the forums. I'm sure your positive attitude will be a great addition.

How does one get a new membership card? I re-upped back in June and to date have not received my new card!

I just really looked at my new card for the first time, and I notice it doesn't have the roadside assistance contact number and plan info on it. Do we just call the MOA? That's the only phone number on the card now.

Same here. I'm going to carry the old card until I get a new one with the correct info, and take a picture of it with my phone so I have the Plan and Producer code.

    David,

Your card is coming. We had to work out a few bugs from the first run of cards and June has been delayed. It should arrive shortly.

I am working on a solution for the NSD information. For the moment, we'll send that separately. The 800 number, plan and producer code is the same as before. PM me if you need hat info.

The new cards do give us some added functionality, but we don't have any information embedded in the card just yet. It is the link between our member database and the card that is the hurdle at the moment. The card can hold a magnetic stripe or bar code with information, but linking the card to the database in real time is an issue. It simply takes a different system that we hope to be adding in the future. It would be cool to walk up to an event or rally, swipe or scan the card and walk right in!
