    Question 01 R1200C fork oil volume

    Im working on a full rebuild of the 2001 1200C and can't find the for oil volume specs.
    The replacement forks was shipped to me in piecess dry and forks on the bike has been stolen so nothing to go by with.

    What is a proper volume to refill dry forks?

    Clymer's indicates 470 ml oil (.5 qt) per leg for your model. 5W or 10W, anything in between, or whatever you prefer. Shocks do the vast majority of the suspension work, the oil is primarily for lubrication.
