    Radio Auto-Volume Control on 2013 RT -

Howdy. So I recently traded my tried and true '03 1150RT on a 2013 version - total impulse purchase. Anyway, love the bike. One issue I have is with the stereo seemingly going up and down in volume very rapidly - like several times per second at speeds of 50-plus. I set the auto-volume control at 2. At first I thought it had to do with wind noise and conflicting harmonics, but tucking behind the windscreen does not make it sound any different; rapid up and down volume - and quite drastic.

The bike is under warranty, so I can have the dealer look at it, but wondering if others have experienced the same issue?

    Through the speakers?

Does system have automatic volume control that raises volume in response to increased ambient noise? If so, can you turn that off?

Yes to both. I have not turned off the auto volume as yet. Figured I'd see if others have the same issue. My guess is that is the problem, though.

The automatic volume adjustment makes a huge deal. When set, it will alter the volume by a lot. It's very noticeable.

My radio volume goes up at speed as I have the auto volume set for the highest setting. My problem is that the volume doesn't automatically go down when I slow down. It's still blasting away at the higher volume.

One thing I notice is that I will sometimes inadvertently raise the volume because the wheel is so close to the grip and I am overlapping the wheel and turning up the numbers.
