    Riding in Peru

My wife and I are planning a fall trip to motorcycle in Peru. Anyone been on a tour with the various vendors offering rides there (Ayres, Edelweiss, MotoQuest or Peru Motorcycling)? Any thoughts about the things you liked or didn't like about the tour operators and the tour would be helpful.

We have been riding for 30+ years and have toured in both Europe and in Thailand.

A buddy of mine and I have been thinking about Peru as well but he went and had a by-pass operation last year,
so our trip is delayed ...

I can't offer any advice, but have collected some links to help fill your free time

Thanks JimBob. Since I'm snowed in (again) I have time to read through those links.

I'll throw out my standard reply to foreign travel questions:
Go to- Horizons Unlimited & ADV Rider , as these are the two main places for forums & regional area links for that country or continent to be found; also Tripadvisor and the various brands of travel books all have forums. There are people that live in & travel to Peru & every other place on earth & there are daily discussions about travel considerations.
The tour companies know their areas well & their websites are helpful as they point out basic considerations for MV travel & IMO their main value is that they give their routes which offer a glimpse/highlight of their country.
"If I had my life to live over, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time...I'd relax,I'd limber up... I would take fewer things seriously...take more chances... take more trips...climb more mountains...swim more rivers...eat more ice cream." Jorge Luis Borges at age 85.
