    Lid Removal - 08 RT

Now that my bike is put away for the season I want to get my right side bag lid smoothed and repainted due to the lid flopping open and dragging down the highway. It appears that all I need to do is release the lock as per usual, remove the strap that (supposedly) prevents the lid from opening all the way, and remove two screws each from the two hinges at the bottom. That appears too easy - am I overlooking something?

    That's it.

BTW, have taken my lids to my local GM body shop (Sheboygan Chevrolet) - they sanded out scratches and repainted to match OEM color for around $100 per side. Couldn't tell that they had been repainted - very satisfied.
