    From a marketing perspective..........not much.

Several decades difference in components and a miss-mash of insignia.

But, on the plus side, the color could right and it does have two wheels.

looks like they took an existing mold of a newer bike, and made it look like the old military bike.

OHV, disc brakes and alloy wheels were apparently used much earlier than previously thought. It's nice go see something being used before it was invented.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that BMW marketing didn't actually license the use of their trademarks in conjunction with swastikas and the SS mark.

It's one of the 'secret weapons' developed, in this case by BMW, the world was not ready for until the late 70s.

It's not an "S"! (There's no bikini fairing).

OTOH, judging from the insignia, it could be an R100"SS"

This model goes with the "toaster tank". This one is the less well-known "loaf of bread tank".

I sort of thought it might be an "alternative history" sort of thing. On the other hand, some Japanese/Chinese company figures anything with a swastika on it will sell to someone...

    As seen on eBay

One off purchase is $259.99 plus $25.00 shipping. Do you think they would give us a group buy discount?

I was curious about Otaku in the site name on the box. Wikipedia. The short version is it is a term that refers to people with obsessive interests. Apparently obsession with historical accuracy is not one of the interests in this case.

Sent that to a friend of mine, he quipped: "That must be the Neo-Nazi model."
