Certainly. You'll see several non-BMW bikes; not a big deal.

    Absolutely!

    Mufflers are strongly encouraged, though...

My first MOA rally was on a Kawasaki Nomad. Not a single unfriendly comment from any of the several thousand attendees. Be careful, though ... attendance at a BMW rally often results in a subsequent conversion to the BMW brand.

The spelling error threw me off. For a momnet I thought he was asking whether other bikes were "expected"

Thanks All. I have an R1150Rt and a R80RT and I love them dearly but long runs the Wing has me spoiled. And its very quiet.

    Talking Bring gifts....

All are welcome- a bottle of single malt in your saddlebag goes a long way towards breaking the ice......
I do second the comment about quiet mufflers, and you should be aware that some of the BMW crowd get up very early in the morning to ride as many miles as they can....
I tend to travel alone but thoroughly enjoy socialising with my fellow campers at the end of the day.

Not another brand but I showed up at a PA Air Head rally this July with my K, and received some looks and many warm greetings.

The BMW community is very welcoming of non-beemers.

IIRC, the Rhinebeck rally had Triumph and MotoGuzzi demo rides........

At the Salem rally, Annie and I camped at Airhead Central. We rode in with a state Airmarshal who rode a Goldwing and another fellow on a Nighthawk. Annie and I were on Beemers but not Airheads. No one noticed nor cared. An overly loud bike of any make will not win the rider any friends.
