Better do it today. Any later and you'll miss the true Bloomsburg Heat Dome Rally experience, according to the National Weather Service.

Riding home from Bloomsburg on the Saturday of the rally was the first time I've had to dodge a bear on the bike. But it beat fire breathing cars.

Did that on the Cabot Trail back in 2007. All the signs said to watch for Moose, no mention of Bears!!!

I had a K75S, and it was WONDERFUL compared to the '85 K100RT that I had before it (the only bike I considered getting off and walking home - from the Blue Ridge Parkway about 400 miles from home) due to the heat.

The R1200R isn't a hot bike at all compared to those..
