When I opened the mail today I showed the flyer sent by the MOA to my wife and said roughly the same thing. That particular custom does nothing for me. I'm sure that others will like it. But then I saw a tweet from BMWMOA reading "Only 864 tickets sold for the custom F800R. Your odds of winning are the best of any MOA raffle so far. bit.ly/1k8BXu #MOA". Hmmm, maybe I'm not the only one who finds the bike all that appealing.

I'm with you Jack, that's one butt ugly bike. I don't like the belly pan and don't like the paint.

Maybe I could use it to trade for a new F800GT in white?

    I am tempted...

I saw it in Chicago at the show--and it looks better in the flesh (plastic/aluminum?) than the picture indicates. I bought a ticket, and frankly given my record of never winning anything but an air mattress at Shackamak, I'd appreciate it if no one else buys a ticket. Thank you for your cooperation...Mac

Pandora had several custom painted bikes at Sedalia and I did not care for any of those. Now the red and white GS they did this year was great

I don't like the paint job either; others I'm sure will - can't account for taste

Well the paint job doesn't blow me away or style but I certainly wouldn't scoff at a free bike. Well however much the raffle tickets are plus insurance to put it on the road. I'd enjoy it, paint it or trade it. So yes I'd like to win it, I never win anything. Guess I should enter. That big drawing last summer I was hoping I didn't win the scooter, I would have been thrilled with anything else but no need to worry when your number isn't called. I'm going to enter.

Before Sedalia I bought a foundation ticket and there were several bikes at the National I was hoping I wouldn't win They also had a separate drawing for a F800R. I did not buy a ticket for that bike thinking I didn't want a chain. I found out later in the year if you did not like the bike you won, you could pick a different bike and pay the difference if it cost more.
I'm guessing you don't have that option on the custom painted bikes. Anyone know?

I would think MOA would do better selling tickets if the bike were not custom painted. Custom paint is a very personal thing and a custom job that looks great to one person can be ugly to the next.

    Don't forget taxes
You have sales tax, and I'm guessing income tax on the value of the bike.
