    '02 K1200RS Exhaust Heat Shield

Trying to locate a replacement for a broken exhaust heat shield for '02 K1200RS. This is the shield located next to the shifter. Already tried beemerboneyard.com , but out of stock. Any (reasonable) suggestions out there? It's about $16 at beemerboneyard.com, any idea out much through the dealer?

Price does not seem accurate on the Real OEM site.

    From MaxBMW: (15) 18 22 1 465 031 HEAT RESISTANT PLATE $56.69

If this is the same piece that Lee pointed out, I discovered mine was broken last year.

I just drilled a few small holes and stitched it together with copper 14g wire. Been holding together well for me so for, about 20k miles worth.

This looks like it will do the job, thank you. The old one had already been repaired twice and the location of the most current breakage doesn't look fixable (at least by me)

If I recall right, mine was replaced when I had some work done on the bike way back around 30-50,000 miles. That would put it at about 2003-4, I think. The newer version was obviously an improvement over the original in my view, which had begun to crack. The replacement has been fine eversince, it is a better product.
