    R1200RT After Market Shifter Lever

    Good evening,

The other day when I was in visiting my local BMW dealer here in Calgary, there was a 2009 BMW R1200RT sitting on the bike lift that was imported in from California. It had a shifter lever that makes total sense to me rather than the factory one which I am afraid is to small for my big feet.

I have attached a picture (God, Thank you for the iPhone camera) and was wondering if anyone would recognize it and where might I get one of these.

    Smile

Ilium Works makes the one you looked at - about $25 on e-bay or contact Ilium.

Here is a set-up from Tourtech that is even adjustable:

    Hammerhead:)

My big feet too were at issue with stock BMW shift lever! I found the "Hammerhead" at rally a few years ago. Its longer and my size 12s love it. You'll have to find it via search engine. I do not remember who sold 'em, sorry. The name is right, Hammerhead. Randy

My bike came (used) with one of these:

I was ok with the stock shifter on other RTs i've ridden, but it is nice to be able to adjust the arm forward a bit for my huge feet.
