    As bad as a failed fuel strip. Glad they caught it.

    The number is a combination of the date the recall began and the units assigned to the Canadian market at the time of the recall: 33 units. In the previous recall 31 units were involved with the recall so since then the inventory of new R1200GS have increased by two.

    Based on what others have found out from BMW NA and the email I received from BMW the total number of units is all of that BMW has built to date. The recall problems are to be taken care of in the rest before they reach the market so the various other regulators and BMW have not issued recalls for them.
