What have you used or seen used to raise the handlebars about an inch and also move them back about 1.5-2.0 inches? Anyone still make the item?
Thoughts/suggestions.
thanks

or "handlebar risers".
Here's a snap of the bar backs I have on my 1994 R100RT. Up 1" back 3/4". Came from one of the "usual suspect" vendors, but do not recall which one. I do recall that they were not marketed for the airhead RT (you can see that they are not particularly pretty - but there again they are cloaked by the headstock switch panel) - R100GS I think - and they they came in a very nice silver finish that, as you can also see, I re-painted black. The stock electrical and bowden control cables work OK with this set up. You are seeking to be more "adventurous", so consider that you may need to swap out some cables (the bowden controls cables are more likely to be an issue that the electrical cables). Also check that you will have bar/bar back to gas tank clearance before heading out into the wild blue yonder to avoid denting the tank.
