    12 volt plug '95 K75

Just purchased a 1995 K75 from a friend in Europe. Bike is in great shape. I am going to leave it there garaged with battery charger and etc..ride 3X a year off and on..

Unfortunately he is out of reach at the moment.

I wanted to ask him if there is a 12volt socket anywhere on the bike to plug my GPS into? Would anyone know the answer?

If it does not, I will go prepared to instal one on the bike, purchasing what I need to do the job here in the USA..

    Thank you

    Dennis,

    Please read: http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthre...r-thread-title!

I've added that info to the title of your thread.

The answer to your question is, yes, there should be a BMW (Powerlet, John Deere)) style accessory socket on the coil cover (left side just to rear of engine). There possibly could be a second one on the dash pad.

    Dennis,

Unless your GPS has the BMW plug on it, you will need an adapter to go from the cigarette lighter style to the BMW style plug such as:
    http://www.powerlet.com/product/24-p...ocket-cable/35
    or

    Okay Thank you very much.

I just so happen to have a couple.

I ride my R1200RT here in the states and I hook up my tire inflator through the 12v recepticle with a BMW adapter...

    Thank you again.
