BMW Motorrad Naviagator III - what is the latest map?

I just checked my GPS for the latest map and it say that mine is up to date which I find hard to believe as it is date 2006.
My version is 4.40.
I'd be interested in hearing from other owners if they have something different.

That sounds like a firmware version not a map.

I just updated the maps on my Zumo 550 and I'm up to 2013.30

edit- Yeah I just went on the website and 4.40 is a the software version not a map version

How did you try to update it? Do you have lifetime maps?

Go to settings, then maps and you should be able to find the map version number in there.

I update mine every 6 months or so via Garmin's Lifetime Maps program. (It's the lifetime of the GPS, not the owner..)
