Yep news to me as well. There a group of about 10 going from here and we've booked our rooms already.

Many times folks only look at the larger chain hotels/motels? Dozens of Mom/Pop Motels exist too and finding them is the key. BBs too. Rooms are usually only limited buy your search. Although I camp and dozens of years at these rallies now, I have rarely if ever heard a story of no rooms found in an area as large as Salem... Yes, the big ones fill quick, but have hope, you'll be fine with a likely great room not so far from rally
Like Randy said, Mom n Pops (especially if they have no Web presence) can easily be found. And even if they're 20 miles away from the rally site, it's an awesome commute!
