Xplor MSF Dirt Bike School
We're proud to offer what we think is the best, most versatile off-road school you can attend--and it's certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation! We can make that claim because of our emphasis on safety, the fundamentals of riding, and our commitment to making off-road riding a safe, fun activity that the entire family can enjoy together, even when your family members have different riding skills.
This course consists of 8 hours of off-road motorcycle riding instruction on a closed range course that has been groomed for beginners, yet has challenging areas for more advanced riders to hone their skills.
If you are considering learning to ride a motorcycle, learning to ride off-road, or would just like to hone the basics even if you've been riding for a while, this is for you. No matter your skill level--beginner or advanced--the emphasis on fundamentals means rapid improvement. We often have a mixed class of beginner and experienced, yet neither end of the scale is either overloaded or under-challenged. That's the beauty of troubleshooting fundamental skills--everyone improves whether you have kicked over an BMW G450 X for the first time that day, or have been riding your rally-prepped BMW F650 for years.

Students should get a good night's sleep prior to class.
Students that successfully complete a course will at a minimum receive an MSF DirtBike School completion card and the Tips and Practice Guide for the Off-Highway Motorcyclist booklet; riders under 16 will also receive the Parents, Youngsters and Off Highway Motorcycles booklet.

Adventure Off-Road
This two-day course enables riders to transition from the basics of off-road riding presented in the Basic Off-Road Course to the more complex techniques needed for multi-day trips on off-road and dual-sport machines. This includes the popular class of big dualies like the BMW R1200GS, the KTM 640 and 950, Baja conversions, and riders anticipating complex terrain on multi-continent trips.
The Adveture Off-Road Course combines the skill-building of the Basic Off-Road Course with advanced techniques for single-track and obstacles, plus outdoor survival skills, treat light techniques and camping techniques are covered. You'll ride for two days and camp overnight. The last half-day is spent wrapping up the concepts and giving you time to pack.
The program will teach you skills that enable you to transition from asphalt to double-track, single-track, and fire trails. The fundamentals of straight lines, turning, body posture, and braking are combined to handle obstacles, stream crossings, and tight single-track.
We'll teach you the fundamentals and demonstrate real-world challenges so you can assess terrain and risk, then make good choices using skills practiced here. It's a course that builds confidence and breaks down barriers without destroying you and your gear. You are to bring the motorcycle you'll actually use on your off-road trips. If you have questions about your bike's capability, just email us or give us a call.
Camping and packing your bike is a big part of the program. With instructors that have taken motorcycles into the world's most challenging places, you'll find out from pros how to pack appropriately and manage your resources, as well as deal with emergencies. You'll learn how to pack right, and how to ride your bike fully-loaded.
Our instructors are experienced riders and instructors. All staff members are first-aid/CPR certified.
Schedule: The program runs for two days and one night. We have regular breaks throughout the day, and break for two basic meals each day that are cooked onsite or brought in. You'll start riding at 8am and finish by 6pm, break for dinner, then continue with strategy sessions and a night ride.
Rider Prep - Students should be well-rested and prepared for the weekend. We advise against drinking alcoholic beverages the night prior to the course. Hydration is a must--bring a Camelbak or similar hydration system.
