Got a kick out of this latest email from Jack. I told him people were asking about him and asked if he was going to check out this thread:
"I thank you for the gesture. I saw the thread yesterday, and I started to untangle the registration process by which I could comment directly, and I an embarrassed to say I got it all screwed up and started yelling. (I really hate computers.) I use an Apple MacPro and have gotten thoroughly used to "click, install, and do whatever the hell you want." The damn thing kept asking me for passwords and secret handshakes. I clicked on the option to have a password emailed to me and the damn thing fizzled. I just said, "**** it." It is the K75 rider coming out in me. "
LOL!

I would be in for a donation.
Not to get this idea too involved, but what about making donations, that at a certain amount, would get you a signed copy of Jack's book?
Nice way to make a donation and sell some of his books?

...and if he hates computers as much as he says - would he even put in the effort to figure it out?
Might be worth another email to Jack Zenduddhist!

I sent him an email to see if he would be interested. Told him we weren't doing it out of kindness or pity. We are doing it because we want him to keep working, writing and making us laugh!
Just because he is having physical difficulties doesn't mean we should have to suffer...![]()

Yep, good job. You worded it in a way Jack will understand.

Dragon Naturally Speaking is a very advanced product which should be more than capable of dealing with his "accent". The core technology in Dragon is supposedly licensed by Apple for the Siri voice recognition in the new iPhones.

I have used Dragon at school and it works very well. The more you use it, the better it gets. One of the things that I learned, though, you should use the best computer microphone that you can find.
If jack is using a Mac, there may be some problems finding the right version. You need something called "Dictate Edition"

I just had a very nice conversation with Jack on the phone. He is very, very touched by our concern for him. He is going to write a statement to you all today or tomorrow and asked if I would post it in this forum. Will do so, when I receive it...
