    Flashlights ?????

In the December ON on page 116, Kit Vercella reviews a tactical LED flashlight that sells for $70.

I just bought a Mag-Lite XL50 that does all the same things for less than 1/2 the price.

What flashlight do you carry on your bike?
I used to post here, but now I don't.

I carry 3. 1 Tiny key ring LED (free), Cheapo LED ($2.00), and a head light ($13.00). All very small.

Get these at Harbor Freight, they work great, cost effective, if you loose one no big deal. I got them stashed everywhere. Sometimes you get them for free with a coupon. Good stocking stuffers too.

Too many flashlights to remember...both cheap and pricey.

    Thumbs up

3 Mag-Lites - one in a forward compartment, one in the trunk (handy), one in the tool kit (less handy).

Two LED Mini Maglites. One in the RT glove-box clip and one in my travelling kit.

For the headlight of my bicycle I have a Nightrider rechargeable light. It cranks 300 lumens and throws so much light that it evaporates rain in front of me, so that I ride in a sphere of dry air. I keep it angled down so as not to illicit colorful language from oncoming riders.

It is sized like any small flashlight, it is rechargeable and the illumination can range from really bright to road rage inducing.

At $150 it is expensive for a flashlight, but 1/4 the price of top end bicycle light sets.

Best flashlight I ever owned, and less than $10!!! Zoom-able and will throw a bright beam 100 yards easily, and lights up street signs over 1/3 mile away.

It is brighter than my $40 redline!!

Aluminum, durable, small, my first is over 3 years old, and I carry it in my pocket every day!

Here is a review from a flashlight forum, yes flashlight geeks have forums too

On my trips I carry only LED headlamps. Just reached a point where I got tired of trying to aim a flashlight where I needed light, or trying to hold it under one arm etc when I needed both hands.
