In the Posting Guidelines it states specifically that general buying or selling of items is not permited in the direct technical forum area. There are two options. Click on Flea Market at the top of the page and offer your items for sale or say that you need something up there. However, it's not allowed that you then post in the forum that you had an ad in the Flea Market. The other option is Member Ops lower in the forum. This is really not for the odd selling or buying or items. Rather it is for people who have a business and wish to post their services to offer the members. This is kind of like a yellow page ad.
The only other choice is to use the various on-line market places, such as craigslist or the Internet BMW Riders.
The purpose of all this is to minimize the possibility that the forum becomes just a collection of ads.
